Jim, Jane, Ric, and I took a bus from Fatima to Lisbon where we would spend the last couple of days of our vacation. We arrived in Lisbon in the afternoon, and walked to the riverfront to visit the old town. We spent the next day riding a tour bus so that we could see as much as possible during our short stay.
Lisbon is a very interesting city which is home to people from a large number of backgrounds--it truly is a melting pot. The architecture of buildings in the city blends the old with the new--some of the oldest buildings were built in the 16th century.
We all had a great vacation together, have done a variety of things over the last 3 weeks, but are also ready to come home. I look forward to being at St. Charles for Mass on Sunday.
