Preparation for First Communion follows preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Typically, Second Grade children have achieved the age of reason (7 years old) and are ready to prepare for their First Reconciliation and First Communion.

We welcome any other children who may have missed their initial opportunity to prepare and receive these Sacraments.

Those preparing for their First Communion and First Reconciliation are required to be enrolled in either the Parish School of Religion, or St. Charles Catholic School.

The Catholic school and Sunday, School of Religion will teach these Sacraments on Sundays, which will supplement and support the work parents will teach at home through the home study program.
