Lenten Parish Mission, 2017
The Extraordinary Ministry of Christian Healing and the Spiritual Life

April 2, 3, 4
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm in church

Each evening concludes with Eucharistic Adoration

First Evening, Sunday, April 2:

Drs. Paul and Terese Bauer, Catholic medical doctors and medical missionaries to Africa speak on their local mission to the sick and their mission abroad.  Having received their primary vocation to married life, Paul and Terese have received subsequent vocations from God to the extraordinary ministry of Christian healing as medical doctors and missionaries.  Paul and Terese are members of a local Kansas City Catholic Charismatic Community entitled:  Heart of the Redeemer Covenant Community.  Their marriage has been blessed with five beautiful children.

Second Evening, Monday, April 3:

Commissioned by God through the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, Mrs. AnnMarie Creedon helped establish:  The Servants of Mercy Healing Prayer and Deliverance Ministry.   The power of evil can arise in our lives in subtle ways yet enslave us with remarkable power.  The ministry of Christian “deliverance” is a Biblical method, established by Christ and His One Church, to identify and eradicate spiritual realities manifested by the Devil and the work of evil in our world.  The Servants of Mercy provide a two-step ministry by offering first the work of Christian healing, followed by the freedom-giving prayer(s) of Christian deliverance which are to be dispensed through the ministry of the Catholic Church and incorporated into the sacramental life.  AnnMarie is also a member of the Catholic Charismatic Community entitled:  Heart of the Redeemer Covenant Community.  She and her husband Joe have been blessed with five beautiful children.

Third Evening, Tuesday, April 4:

Rev. Mr. Jim Olshefski and his wife Mary Olshefski, our very own missionaries to St. Charles Borromeo and beyond, will present on the centennial of Our Lady of Fatima and the extraordinary work of healing and conversion of heart in the spiritual life.  Now, one hundred years after the Blessed Virgin Mary, under the powerful title of Our Lady of the Rosary, appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, we will explore her spiritual plan for the reparation of sin, true conversion of heart, prayer for the souls in purgatory and peace for the world.  Her message to the children and to the whole world has been a beautiful method of turning away from sin and becoming faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Having recently traveled on pilgrimage to Fatima last fall, Jim and Mary will give insight into Our Lady’s plan for the life of the Church to become completely configured to Jesus Christ, true healer and Great High Priest.

Wednesday, April 5: Parish Reconciliation Service, 7:00 – 8:30 pm

Conclude the parish mission with the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation,

the sacrament of healing par excellence!

Join our AFF Team and take part in the New Evangelization...

“Life grows by being given away, and it weakens in isolation and comfort.  Indeed, those who enjoy life most are those who leave security on the shore and become  excited by the mission of communicating life to others.  Thus, the Church summons all Christians to take up the task of evangelization…”  (Pope Francis)
