Who Am I to Judge?

Sundays in the Commons beginning June 11, 2017
9:45 AM - 10:45 AM

How do we talk about morality in a world that no longer believes in truth?  When we're bombarded with messages of "Be tolerant!" "Don't judge!" and "Coexist!" many good people feel afraid to say anything is right or wrong.

This 8-part study program gives us an important key to responding to relativism effectively - a Catholic moral worldview.  Learn how Catholic morality is all about love, how making a judgment about right and wrong action is not judging a person's soul, and how, in the words of Pope Francis, "relativism wounds people" and is "the spiritual poverty of our times."

Fatima, 100 Years

Wednesday's in the Commons
7 PM - 8:30 PM
July 5, August 2, September 20, October 11

It's been 100 years since Our Lady of the Rosary appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal and the history of the world has been forever changed because of her exhortation to prayer, trust and reparation.  Join Deacon Jim Olshefski for a series of Fatima presentations as we celebrate the summer apparitions.  Each of the talks will disclose the message of Fatima presented to the children during the summer of 1917.

Step 1: To take the on-line version of the Spiritual Gifts Inventory, visit: https://staustin.org/spiritual-gifts-inventory

Step 2: After you’ve taken the Spiritual Gifts Inventory please take a moment to send your results to:  bdarnell@stcharleskc.com or jharrison@stcharleskc.com

We hope to create a file of these gifts in hopes of better pastoral care and discernment of the overarching spiritual gifts functioning here at St. Charles Borromeo Parish.

Join our AFF Team and take part in the New Evangelization...

“Life grows by being given away, and it weakens in isolation and comfort.  Indeed, those who enjoy life most are those who leave security on the shore and become  excited by the mission of communicating life to others.  Thus, the Church summons all Christians to take up the task of evangelization…”  (Pope Francis)
